Erik Scheps is a Pharmaceutical Sales Executive with over 2 decades of successful sales experience and employee management.
He is a previous Middleburg Town Council Member and was a board member/treasurer of the Middleburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Howard Armfield was born in Middleburg. He assisted Eugene Scheel in getting “The History of Middleburg and Vicinity” published in 1987 to celebrate the Bicentennial of the Town. He served on the Planning Commission when the Historic District Ordinance was approved. When the Loudoun-Fauquier Health Center closed in 1978, the building became owned by the Town, which subsequently formed the Health Center Advisory Board. Armfield served on the Advisory Board from its inception in 1993 until the Advisory Board was dissolved in 2023 and the Middleburg Charitable Foundation was formed as a separate not-for-profit organization.
A lifelong resident of Middleburg, Darlene has served on Town Council since 2001. The Foundations origins are in her blood. Darlene's mother served on the Health Center Advisory Board. Darlene brings experience from her career at the U.S. Department of State and Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
Middleburg resident since 2012 and Town Council Member since 2016. Philip's thoughtleadership on the Health Center Advisory Board, ushered in a new approach to Middleburg's charitable contributions resulting in sale of the Health Center and forming of The Middleburg Charitable Foundation. He brings a background in marketing, communications and small business managment.
Ray and his husband Miguel Diaz moved to Middleburg in 2004. They immersed themselves in the community and in particular in the polo scene. In 2014 they celebrated the first same-sex marriage in the area at Buchanan Hall. Ray brings over three decades' experience in management consulting at a large defense contractor.
Originally attracted to Middleburg by the car culture, art, natural beauty and giving spirit, Pam has lived in Middleburg for five years with her three rock star golden doodles. She brings more than two decades of non-profit experience and serves as the President and COO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, which includes Loudoun County.

A passion for horses attracted Jan and her husband, Joseph Keusch, to Middleburg and their love for the community kept them here. They established Paper Chase Farms equestrian center just outside Middleburg in 1985 and moved the Town of Middleburg in 2022. Jan brings a background in law and business with extensive board experience. She currently serves as chair and CEO of The Freedom Forum.
